The Punjab Livestock Card project, spearheaded by CM Maryam Nawaz, facilitates interest-free loans of Rs2.5 lakh for animal feed. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to empowering livestock farmers economically. Moreover, it emphasizes streamlining loan disbursement procedures and fostering dairy farming schemes, particularly in rural areas of south Punjab.

Empowering Livestock Farmers

The Punjab Livestock Card project envisages providing soft loans to both male and female farmers engaged in dairy farming. It aims to empower 40,000 farmers, enabling them to access essential resources for livestock care and facilitating meat export opportunities for four lakh animals. Additionally, farmers will benefit from free tagging services, insemination facilities, and quality testing for Wanda and silage.
